Keyboard shortcut questions for ScanGrid
« on: August 18, 2016, 10:04:26 AM »
Hi,
the space key-press in the ScanGrid seems to "jump" 30 entries down the column. Is there a way to change this functionality? For example, I would like it to select current table entry (just like good old Total Commander does :) ). Then, maybe it would be possible to make "Lock/Unlock for changes" by using Ctrl+Space . And, if Delete button invokes Edit>Delete (for selected files), maybe it is possible to make Backspace button to activate "Remove selected files from grid" (for selected DB entries)?
These changes would considerably speed-up the navigation and modification within the Grids.

Regards

It would be useful to the have ability to activate "Copy checked files from grid to grid" button by using ctrl+"->" (keyboard right arrow) while in ScanGrid, and ctrl+"<-" while in WorkGrid. Current Edit>Preferences>Shortcuts menu does not present the possibility to map this function.

I'm going to add actions to these methods in order to enable the possibility to add hotkeys to them. Thanks for pointing this out.
Using the space as hotkey for checking/uncheking the file will be possible, but the user will need to manually assign that shortcut to that action, using the preferences dialog. The space and shift+space are standard Windows hotkeys to page-down and page-up read only content, used by many programs, and that's what you are experiencing with the grid.
