Edit custom fields and more
« on: December 28, 2014, 11:38:13 AM »
I've set two customized column for pdf files, i.e., rating and reviewed status, with the help of PDF-ShellTools.
My main file manager is TC(Total Commander), these two column also can be shown in TC with a plugin called shellinfo.
However, if I want to edit these two fields, I've to open Windows Explorer and do the job in the detail panel.
I can NOT edit these customized fields directly in TC or in the InfoEdit tab.

If PDF-ShellTools users could edit their customized fields directly in the InfoEdit tab, that would be a great improvement.
Hope this feature will be enable in the next version.
Thanks.

Have you tried from the details tab? ;)
The InfoEdit got developed to provide metadata edit capabilities to pre-Windows Vista, and still lacks the possibility to edit custom fields. New Windows versions can edit all the properties from the file properties details tab, with the help of the property handlers extensions, so the InfoEdit extension is irrelevant.

On windows 8.1, one can also edit the details info there.
