Title: Trial version
Post by: Anonymous on February 13, 2008, 04:52:00 PM
Hi, I downloaded both PDF Explorer and PDF Shelltools today. They are really cool.
I have been reading also in your forum about the trial period. You say there is only a 30-days-trial-period. So I supose in 30 days they will stop working.
Is that right?

On the other hand, your last upload was in 2007-10-24, so maybe you are not uploading frecuently new versions anymore, aren't you?

Finally, if I'm right in both cases, what should I do to enjoy the programs with any restriction? There is now option to register, or enter license code... ???

Yep, that's the idea behind Trialware versions. Use full functionality for the trial period and after, if user think it's a usefull product for his needs, he can purchase to enable full functionality forever.

Now the softwares are more mature so there is no need of so frequent updates, even so, I'm always developing and PDFE build 58 is almost ready to go out.
Some of the more relevant features already developed:
 - PDF Explorer is now also a CHM Explorer. Many of the functionalities already available for PDFs can now also be used to manage CHMs. With internal CHM reader, text and image extractor, etc.
 - PDFE Web Server secure connections with HTTPS.
 - Possibility to extended the webserver with CGI and ISAPI extensions. Very powerful, and not only to manage PDFs or CHMs!!
 - Possibility to add, and call, custom external applications/scripts from the Tools menu, passing selected grid files as parameters.
Take a look to the suggestions forums for more requested enhancements already developed. Maybe you can suggest your one ;)

After purchase customer receive download link to the software commercial version and a personalized activation code. The commercial version is the same as the trial one, obviously without the trial restrictions, but only work after activation.
