Title: Automatically Change PDF 'Title' Metadata field to actual filename
Post by: PAUL BOWES on August 23, 2020, 11:11:55 AM
Is there a way to automatically change the PDF 'title' metadata field to the windows filename for a pdf file using Shell Tools?

Also, are we far off the next iteration of the PDF Shell Tools program (hanging out for a fix to remove Security '2' from PDF files).

Thanks!

You can do it with the InfoEdit tool (https://www.rttsoftware.com/Manuals/STIndex.htm?pageURL=ST/English/InfoEdit.htm). Just write [F] in the title field.
You can preview the result, and compose more complex expressions, clicking the, at right of each field, [.] button.

Regarding the next version, 3.4, release date. Not far, but still need to finish some things.
