Activating dbSearch in Custom Scripts

Hi,
is it possible to activate/run dbSearch using Custom Scripts? Can we use RegEx for dbSearch? I'm having a situation where after the scripts gets value range from a user dialog and calculates proper values I want it automatically to activate a search based on that result.

No, but that's something that can be added to the list of commands handled by the Host automation object.
