1. In Groups, I have created a group called "Customer_Administrator", I have just noticed that these folders have a a 'green, blue, red' band on them but the same folders being access by another group does not. What do these colors mean?

These colors are the visual representation of the permissions (Upload to, Copy to,...) enabled for that folder. You can change these in the "Selected folder permissions" options.
