Batch Tools Layout
« on: March 03, 2008, 05:05:00 PM »
It would be useful to change Layout of the "Batch Tools".

When I want use tool from the Batch Tools menu now I have to click on Batch Tools tab,
then I have to select tool from scroll menu and click on Run button.

However, the tab is big enough to put instead of the scroll menu separate buttons
for each tool there and remove button Run.

The buttons could be quite big and you could also put space between them.

Then you will have only select tab Batch Tools and click on the desired button.

This will save two clicks for each using of the Batch Tolls and selecting
a tool from scroll menu what is time consuming and need higher attention.

You can also assign a keyboard shortcut for each tool as these tools are used very often.

Buttons are not a good solution. If you check other idioms localizations you will see the amount of space the batch tool names text occupies.
Also, not all users have big screen resolutions. Strange or not, 800x600, or even 640x480, continues in use.
Can be an option if name text is replaced by an icon and text became the button hint.

But the keyboard shortcuts are a good solution. Batch selection and run with same keyboard action and from anywhere in the interface.

Of course it can be icons. It does not matter how it would look like.

From my point of view is the most important don't have to select from
scroll menu each time I use Batch Tools and just click on desired tool icon
or of course use keyboard shortcut.

I'm spending a lot of the time with PDF Explorer and it is actually my main working tool.
This change in Batch Tools would save a lot time for me.
